   I’ve heard disenchanted lullabye’s coming from the orgins of a web site belonging to a public servant whom works for the Ellis County Sherrifs Office about Mrs. Merrit running Crystie’s Kids as a fraudulant charity.

   If it is a fraudulant charity then explain to me all the children whom did not have to sing a dis-enchanted lullabye this last chriistmas?. Four hundred plus children received at the very least four to six presents, some of the older junior high age children recieved a computer to assist them with thier school work. I keep thinking of all the times that the police departments from every part has called Mrs Merrit with battered women in dire straights and Mrs. Merrit used Chrysties Kids funds to assist those individuals by putting them up in a hotel for one to two days until they can get into a womens shelter. I’ve seen the eldarly recieve a very merry christmas all due to the hard work of Mrs. Merrit and her many dedicated people whom donate their time, sweat and love. I’ve seen a lot more than a few persons come to Mrs Merrit and Chrysties kids for assistance and recieve help. I pesonally have hand delivered on the behalf of Mrs Merrit and Chrysties kids fans to eldarly and people in need. I’ve seen Mrs. Merrit on numerous occasions help out familys in need, some that where stranded, with no home, No Food and no money or a way to get these things. Just recently Mrs. Merrit helped out a family that had moved to Ennis, but when they got here, the Job the gentleman was here for was not open anymore even though a local company had promised it to him. When the got to Ennis they had spent the last of thier money getting here. So no money, no place to stay, the wife had not eaten in three days, he not in four or five, and thier son had not eaten in the last two days. Mrs. Merrit fed these people in need out of her own pocket, Chrystie’s Kids stepped up and got them off the streets and safe until a better solution could be found. I also seem to remember Chrystie”s Kids donating towards special food that a young man needed in order to survive, Not only did Chrysties Kids help, they even found others to help out also. I’ve seen Chrystie’s Kids last year obtain school supplys and new uniforms for many familys that could not afford that and be able to put food on the tabkle. It is these things and many others that you never hear about that Chrystie’s Kids do, and this is what all those donations go to!!!!

   This Christmas when there is no Chystie’s Kids toys to give away to the kids i want you to think of all those familys that last year could not afford a Merry Chistmas, And what Kind of Christmas they will have this year if Chystie’s Kids isn’t able to step up to the plate just because of a few mean spirited individuals that want to be Ellis County’s version of the Grinch whom stole Christmas. When the EPD needs some help with a domestic abuse incident where a woman needs help out of a bad situation just think, whom will they go? When the termperature is very hot and people need fans but can afford them, they can’t get them from Chrystie’s kids only because of those few mean spirited individuals whom want to hurt many people. When the eldarly, such as those last year in IOOF, recieve nothing, thank the grinch for a joyous season. When you see a person in need, Just think, there could have been Chrysties Kids to stand up and say ” We will help! ” When there are familys in need of school supplys and uniforms for the new school year, Just think, some of those if not all could have been helped by Chrystie’s Kids. When you are hungry and have no hope, Just remember, that once upon a time there used to be Chrystie and her Kid outs there to help out and make a difference.

   And as for what i have to say people personally. I have a very very low opinion of a man whom will mock a dead person and a Charity that is dedicated to helping out those in need. Chrystie’s Kids does have a commitee board that oversees and has to give thier approval of every little expendature that the director makes. So there is no chance of fraud with four board members that oversee the operations.

   And as for slandering of Mrs. Merrit and Chrystie’s kids, you really don’t hurt Mrs. Merrit, Not as much as the children will be hurt with on Christmas day with no presents coming from Chrysie and her Kids!!!!!

   Have you read what you are talking about? I just spent over an hour reading through that site, It is a big joke!! Krusty’s Kids was taken from the Simpson’s tv show, I remember seeing it there were donation boxes in the Kwik-e Mart. What I saw on that other site is nothing more than a spoof on that, it’s hilarious or maybe I spend to much time watching tv nowhere did I see anything about Mrs. Merrit I have supported her group and will continue to, so should you, don’t be so up tight, laugh a little.

   Please show me exactly where Mrs.Merrit’s name or her charity’s name is on the web site you are referring to? There is no mention of either!! It has to contain her name or the charity to be slander!! And please tell me why he would slander her. He is a board member on her charity he was never notified he was ever removed or has he given his notice to be removed!! and His name is on the checking account of the charity!!! And i beleive it still is on there because he would have had to sign a paper at the bank removing him from the account and he has not done so as of this date! We are very aware of what her charity does and never have spoken against it!! As far as his Krusty’s Kids spoof on his website was started the same weekend the Simpson’s movie came out and that is exactly where the idea came from. Check your dates!

   Joseph, I read your statement recently where you say you don’t have bad feelings about Christians. So when you posted this:
